ABOUT US
FOUNDER STORY
My first encounter with Malawi was over 10 years ago.
It all goes back to when I was selected to be sent as a member of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers.

At that time, I had only heard the name of the country after I had been assigned to the country, and I was assigned to the country without knowing what it was like.
I was surprised at the lack of people, things, and money. But more than that, I was impressed by the warm people, known as the "Warm Heart of Africa."
Even though there is nothing, the carefree smiles of the children are particularly memorable,
I have grown so attached to this place that it would not be an exaggeration to call it my second home .
On the other hand, rather than feeling like I was able to leave something behind for the local people, my volunteer work only helped me grow. I had always wanted to give back to Malawi through work, not through volunteering, but time just passed by without knowing what to do specifically.
During this time, I participated in JICA Innovation Quest, a business competition hosted by JICA, where I met like-minded people.
As a social enterprise idea to contribute to early childhood education in Malawi, we came up with a way to use fabric, which is deeply rooted in Malawian life, as teaching materials.
This project aims to preserve the relaxed nature of the Malawian people and their wealth that is not bound by material things, while eliminating financial burdens and values.
I think that this will help expand possibilities for the future without forcing anything on people.
Since launching, the number of people who agree with our philosophy has gradually increased, and we are working together while increasing the number of our allies.
